Lihan Jin is an architectural designer and the founder of Studio Lihan, an architectural design practice that explores the intersection of cultural heritage and contemporary innovation. He holds a Master of Architecture from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the South China University of Technology.

Before founding Studio Lihan, Lihan worked at Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF), where he played a key role in large-scale, iconic projects such as the award-winning North Bund Tower in Shanghai and Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 5.

Lihan’s projects have garnered international recognition. His concert hall project, “Tension Instrument,” explores the interplay of wood and metal to translate sound into spatial form, earning the Muse Design Platinum Award, French Design Platinum Award, A’ Design Golden Design Award, NY Architectural Design Gold Award, and the Architizer 2023 A+Awards shortlist. In his mosque design, “Islamic Distiller,” Lihan developed an inventive solar distilling system integrated into a modular structural framework, which was honored with the A’ Design Bronze Design Award. Additionally, his art gallery project, “Twisted Intertwining,” transforms the ductility of metal into a spatial prototype and was awarded a Special Mention at the Architizer 2023 A+Awards.
